Meet Bronwyn,
therapist for women and HSPs in WI, MA and DC

Who I am as a therapist

Hi, I’m Bronwyn (she/her). I live in Madison, WI and I’m a licensed therapist providing online therapy in Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and Washington, DC. My job is to help you get to know yourself even better than you already do. I’m here to witness and to understand your story, your pain, your longings, your joy. The really cool thing is that when this happens - when someone can take the time to see and understand what is going on for you - that’s when you can see it more clearly too.

That’s when transformation is possible.

Who I love to work with in therapy

I work with women who are intuitive, reflective, creative, and want to feel more solid and comfortable in their skin. They want to feel strong and connected but are afraid that would mean they become uncaring and selfish. We examine what’s working and not working in their lives, looking at old patterns that are getting in the way. Through our work together, they often learn that they are not alone, that they are enough, that there is nothing wrong with them. Leaving behind these untruths makes more space for creating the authentic life they want to live.

Why I am a Therapist

I know from witnessing many people’s transformations that feeling alone feeds on itself, that feeling unsettled can drown out the beauty surrounding you. I also know that there is nothing wrong with you. You are already strong and you don’t need to be fixed. You have great capacity to love and get what you need.

I don’t want you to suffer. And I believe that personal transformation is the first step in healing the world. That’s why I became a therapist.

I’d love to get to see your brilliance.

Three values about me and
my therapy practice are:

  • You are the expert of yourself and already have the capacity to heal

  • I keep a very small caseload in order to give you my best attention

  • I am committed to investing in consultation and education in order to grow and better support you

My clinical training is psychodynamic, and I work primarily from an attachment perspective with a relational lens. I also use principles from trauma and person-centered theories.

Feeling comfortable with your therapist is the more than 50% of what predicts success in therapy. Even more than the methods and theories that your therapist uses, your relationship with them is what is most important.
